Our Pool
Our boathouse is located behind River Town Shopping Center off of Allegheny River Boulevard. You’ve likely seen our building many times but may never have visited! We are located at the end of Arch Street or Penn Street in Verona.
SCRC is conveniently located at the halfway point of Pittsburgh’s “Upper Pool” of the Allegheny River. Our waterway runs from the Highland Park Bridge to the PA Turnpike, offering nearly 8 miles of serene water, several islands (including a State Park), and beautiful tree-lined shores.
Broad sweeping meanders and steep river valley topography provide forgiving water conditions, even in the presence of wind and less-than ideal weather. Come see why so many believe this is the most pleasant place to row in PGH!
