What is Battle of the Burgh?
This is the second annual event hosted by SCRC. The aim is to get Masters athletes some early summer racing experience in a unique format and foster inter-club ties among the broad Pittsburgh rowing community.
How to Register
Teams or individuals may register online using the button below.
Format
This year’s Battle of the Burgh will use a Grand Prix style format, which means:
All boats will race a time trial
Final race matchups (head-to-head) will be determined by the time trial regardless of boat size or configuration
There will be an early morning event and a mid-morning event, giving you the opportunity to race in two different lineups
If you race both times, that will mean a total of 4 times down the race course (i.e., Race 1 time trial, Race 1 final, Race 2 time trial, Race 2 final)
