New to Steel City Rowing?

New Rowers must also complete a USRowing Waiver and a Steel City Rowing Club Waiver. Please follow the links below to these forms. USRowing charges a small fee for the Basic Membership.

  • Click on individual, join option.

  • At the club prompt enter and select Steel City Rowing Club.

  • At the code prompt enter XVABA.

  • Record or print out your MEMBER NUMBER along with your expiration date ; you will need this to complete the Steel City online contact form.

Coached Unlimited Registration

12 Month Members who also purchase the Coached Unlimited Package must register for classes but do not pay additional fees for classes.

Classes run in three month sessions which begin March, June, September & December (days and times below)



Walk-in passes allow attendance to one class. Participants must register as a walk-in by 8:00pm the day before the select class. 
This is an excellent option for those who are entering classes towards the end of a session. 

Member Price: $11 per class*
Non-member Price: $16 per class
Verona Residents: $11 per class

Class Pass

This 3 month pass allows attendance to one class per week. A separate class pass must be purchases for each additional day of the week.  Class passes begin with each session, and are valid during the session they were purchased in.

Member Price: $90 each class pass*
Non-member: $115 each class pass
Verona Resident: $90 each class pass.

CLC: Coach Led Practice -coaches have the option to participate along side the rowers.


Beginner Rowers Those who are deemed, by written and practical assessment, acquainted with the basics of the rowing stroke, equipment, commands, and safety procedures.

Intermediate Rowers Those who have or wish to become comfortable with more technically and physically demanding practices, conditions, and equipment. 

Advanced Rowers Those who have attained a self-sufficient level of rowing and an understanding of the subtleties of bladework, form, and power application. Advanced rowers must be able to get a single in and out of the boathouse & water without help. Only advanced rowers may take rowing shells out without being accompanied by a coach in a launch.
