Steel City Rowing Club is excited to host the Dam-to-Dam Challenge once again! This always-anticipated event is a chance to celebrate Pittsburgh's vast rowing community, meet new people, and raise money for the Steel City Rowing Club’s boathouse, a public resource we are proud to upkeep.
The course highlights a beautiful 24km (~15 miles) section of the Allegheny River in Verona. For the full Dam-to-Dam course, we’ll row to the Highland Park Lock and then turn back to row all the way to the Cheswick Lock.
If it’s the brunch and not the miles you’re here for, try the abridged “Dam-to-Donuts” course instead! Once rowers start heading upriver towards Cheswick Lock, there will be a chance to return to the dock, completing a ~12k distance. Relay rowers may swap out at this point.
Indicate on the registration form if you wish to sign up for the half-distance challenge.
who can register
Registration is per rower. Rowers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the boat. Members receive a 30% discount off their registration fee. On-site registration will be offered depending on capacity and will be determined closer to the day of the event.
