Co-founder of Steel City Rowing Club, Dori served as Executive Director for 20 years focusing on the development of the new programs and construction of the new boathouse. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1990 in the Department of Architecture with a minor in music and still holds her architecture license and currently is an architect with Pfaffmann + Associates. In addition to eight national titles, Dori is an indoor rowing world champion and five-time US National Champion. She is certified as a level III coach (highest level attainable) and has coached many athletes along-side Laci to the national championships. Although Dori’s primary focuses are development and rowing programming, her soft spot is impressionable youth who can benefit from quality programming, especially at-risk youth.
John Visconti is Co-President and Chief Operations Officer of the Pannier Corporation. Pannier is a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of Industrial Marking Equipment. John began working with SCRC in 2012 to improve the financial reporting for the club. He was instrumental in the purchase of the “Quick Books for Non-Profits” software package to run the club’s financials. He was asked to join the Board in 2012 and continues to work on the financials. In 2014 he was appointed to the office of Treasurer of SCRC. He is presently working with the members of the Finance Committee to develop a Strategic Plan for the club.
Laci is Co-Founder of Steel City Rowing Club, Head Coach and Boatman and he also serves as a Board Member.
